Commercial Pilot License / Airline Transport Pilot License
The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and Frozen ATPL are your gateways to a professional flying career. The CPL is required to get paid for flying, while the Frozen ATPL is a precursor to becoming an airline captain. We offer comprehensive training to ensure you meet the standards for both licenses.
ATPL ground school is intensive, providing 650 hours of theoretical training. The course covers complex topics, including advanced aerodynamics, flight planning, aircraft systems, aviation law, and meteorology, with an emphasis on airline operations.
Flying – 175 Hours
To obtain a CPL/Frozen ATPL, pilots must complete 175 hours of flying, which includes the following:
100 Hours - Hour Building: These hours focus on gaining hands-on flight experience, including solo flying and cross-country trips. You’ll practice skills like navigation, emergency procedures, and aircraft handling under various conditions.
25 Hours – CPL Modular: The CPL modular hours help you refine your skills for commercial operations, including advanced manoeuvres and flying in more complex scenarios. These hours prepare you for the commercial flying environment.
50 Hours – Instrument Rating: Instrument training teaches you how to fly solely using instruments in the cockpit, an essential skill for flying in challenging weather conditions and in controlled airspace.
